CCLA Game Day Responsibilities
-
Make an effort to provide locker room and showers for visitors and game officials.
-
Provide a playing field that is in full compliance with NCAA Rules (www.ncaa.com).
Any deviation from 1.14 MUST be approved by all visiting teams in advance and filed
with the Chief Official before the day of a game. Electronic notification, confirmation
and approvals shall be considered sufficient. (Rule book says it must be "written".)
-
Provide adequate medical care at home games. The minimum requirement would be a student
athletic trainer.
-
Provide separate water and ice for visiting team.
- Provide a table, 3 chairs, 2 clocks, 2 horns, ball retrievers (or an adequate end-line
supply of balls), cones or pylons, and appropriate personnel at game site, a scoreboard
(flip-a-score, a white board, chalk board or any method of displaying the current score).
(NOTE: Home team must supply timer & scorer).
- All teams must submit their game scoring to the MDIA website within 24 hours of the
completion of your game. Please read the following instructions for inputting game reports and statistics for all games you play this year.
Log into (www.mcla.us/admin)
and click on the link "Input Stats". By clicking on this link you
will go to a page which includes all your scheduled games. Two hours after
the start of your game you will be able to enter and add your game stats.
You will not be able to enter any game until 2 hours after it starts. To input the
stats, click on the "open folder" icon to the left of the Game ID number.
When you enter the actual game stats page, please enter the game score if it isn't
already there. Both teams have access to the game score. From there
on, everything is specific to your team ONLY. Fill in the "goals by quarter",
"shots by quarter" areas at the top of the page.
PLAYER STATISTICS
The Player Statistics area will show all active players on your
roster. The "non goaltenders" are listed first. Please enter
their goals, and assists. Automatically they are noted as playing in that
game, if that is not the case, simply remove the tick in the Played box. There
is also an ability--for rare circumstances where a player has to go in goal temporarily--to
add a save and goals against for non-goaltenders.
GOALTENDERS AREA
After this list is the goaltenders area. Please fill in
the applicable fields (saves and goals against and games played). You also
have the ability--in rare circumstances--to add a goal or assist for a goaltender,
if that were to occur.
GAME REPORTS AREA
A well-written game summary will help enhance the website on
the front end. For those who have worked with me before you will know all
about the game summaries. It gives a nice written history and record of what
happened in the game. Be aware everyone will be reading them, so be professional
in your comments and assessments. While it is not mandatory to fill one in,
if you take 2 or 3 minutes to do so it really adds to the website and your specific
team page on the site.
OFFICIALS EVALUATION - THIS IS REQUIRED
The Officials Evaluation report MUST BE FILLED OUT. After completing the stats, you must visit www.thearbiter.net to fill out the Officials Evaluation report.
FINISHING OFF
Once everything is completed, press the submit button at the
bottom of the page and you are done. The statistics for the players, goaltenders
and game reports will all show up on the website on the front end.
